3. Manually Update the Plugin Using Delete-Install.

If the automatic update doesn’t work (which might happen due to the failure to communicate with our licensing server) you may want to manually update your plugin. Follow the steps below.

  • Go to our support page and contact us.
  • We will send you the latest version of the plugin file via email.
  • Download the plugin file and save it to your computer.
  • Go to Plugins > Installed Plugins > Staff Search.
  • Deactivate and delete the plugin Staff Search.
  • Click Add New > Upload Plugin.
  • Browse for a file Staff Search.
  • Click Install Now.
  • Activate the plugin.

Deleting Staff Search does not delete the plugin data. All records are kept and ready to use when you re-activate the plugin.

4. Manually Update the Premium Plugin Using FTP.

  • Go to our support page and contact us.
  • We will send you the latest version of the plugin file via email.
  • Download the plugin file and save it to your computer.
  • Extract the downloaded .zip file.
  • With your FTP program, upload the extracted plugin folder to the wp-content/plugins folder in your WordPress directory online.
  • The name of the extracted plugin folder should be the same as the name of the existing plugin-folder online. NOTE: Make sure you overwrite the existing plugin files.
  • Your plugin has been updated.
