Rather than making users fill in the Sort Text field manually, you can set up a form rule to auto populate it, by passing the data from other fields. This option is intended to simplify the data entry but at the same time to allow a full control over field values.
  • The data will be copied only when the Sort Text field is empty.
  • The data is copied during staff member record update.
  • Source and destination fields are not linked and subsequent edits won’t trigger the auto populate option.
  • Changing template’s data input option won’t reset Sort Text field values. Only new records will be affected.
You can also to choose to fill in the field manually.
When importing staff member records with our plugin Staff List CSV, you can populate Sort Text field by mapping it to a spreadsheet column.

Works only for Multipart Fields.
Field ID. Select the field to copy the data from.
Field Parts Order. Comma delimited list of field parts. Multipart Field has 4 parts. You can copy them in any order.
