Staff List contains static and dynamic pages. The dynamic pages are pages with some appendix in the URL that changes their output.
For example, if static pages URLs are:

Most of the SEO plugins, such as the Yoast or the All-In-One SEO Pack won’t create dynamic versions of canonical links.

Changing Canonical URLs on a Page by Page Basis.

If content of your page changes when pretty permalink or query parameter is appended to the page name, you may need to customize the canonical URL.
You can use our free plugin No Canonical to modify or remove the canonical URL. The plugin works with both premium and a free versions of the Staff List.

  • Yoast SEO
The plugin can modify or remove the canonical URL on a page by page basis.

How to Customize Canonical URLs

Modify or remove the canonical URL on a page by page basis.
  1. Open a page for editing.
  2. Go to SEO meta box, canonical URL.
  3. Enter: no-canonical or any other option listed below.

Canonical URL Options

Canonical link will be removed from a page.
For single pages that use pretty permalinks.
For single pages that use query parameters like: smid.

How to Get the No Canonical Plugin

No Canonical – Installation

  • Login to your WordPress dashboard.
  • Go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.
  • Browse for a file.
  • Click Install Now.
  • Activate the plugin.

No Canonical – Uninstall

The plugin doesn’t add any settings or options to either WordPress or SEO plugins. The only changes you do is by yourself by editing Canonical URLs.
  • Delete custom canonicals
  • Deactivate the plugin.
  • Delete the plugin.

How Do I Check How the Plugin Works?

The plugin doesn’t have any interface. After customizing canonical URL for a specific page you can:
  • View page source code.
  • Test the page in Canonical Tag Checker.
