How a Text Search Works.

Text search uses a LIKE expressions and wildcard characters where the percent sign % matches zero or more characters. Searching is case-insensitive.
For example, searching for mor creates SQL statement
WHERE FieldValue LIKE '%mor%'
and finds any values that have mor in any position.

Wildcard searches provide a flexible mechanism for searching for words or phrases that match a given pattern.

Single Field Search.

  • A text box filter for searching content of a single field.
  • You can add additional filters for more search options.
  • Filters use AND operator. Search result matches all specified criteria.

Multi Fields Search.

  • A text box filter for searching content of multiple fields.
  • Up to six fields can be searched for matches.
  • Field queries use OR operator. Output matches any of the specified fields.
  • You can add additional filters to create an advanced search form.
